“Truth does not become truth because it is repeated, nor does it become false because it is questioned. In the end, the rule of law—not public opinion—must prevail.”

OFFICIAL JUDICIAL RECORD

The Final Judicial Determination Relating to Previous Court Proceedings Involving Dr. Muhammad Zarif bin Abdullah Menon

Final Judicial Decisions

The final judgments delivered by the Malaysian courts in relation to the above proceedings are attached below for public reference.

These judgments represent the complete and authoritative legal determination of the matters referred to on this page.

Closing Statement

History should always be remembered in full.

The commencement of legal proceedings forms part of that history.

So too does their conclusion.

I do not seek to erase the past, nor to diminish the importance of public reporting.

I simply believe that the complete judicial record deserves to stand alongside the original reports so that every reader may reach an informed conclusion based upon the final determination of the Malaysian courts.

That is the purpose of this page.

Nothing more.

Nothing less.

NOTICE TO READERS

Purpose of This Statement

This page has been created in the interest of transparency, accuracy and respect for the rule of law.

Over the years, several online publications and publicly accessible databases have continued to appear whenever my name is searched on the internet. These references relate to legal proceedings commenced many years ago and, understandably, formed part of the public record at that time.

However, as is often the case, the commencement of legal proceedings received considerably greater public attention than their eventual conclusion.

The purpose of this page is therefore not to challenge history, but to complete it.

It exists to ensure that anyone conducting due diligence or researching my professional background has access to the final judicial outcome as determined by the Malaysian courts.

The Rule of Law

One of the defining principles of every civilised legal system is that every individual is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty by a competent court of law.

An allegation is not a conviction.

A charge is not a finding of guilt.

The filing of proceedings merely initiates the judicial process through which the courts determine the truth based upon evidence and the law.

For this reason, the final judgment of a court carries far greater legal significance than any allegation, accusation or media report published before the judicial process has concluded. The integrity of the justice system depends not only upon public access to allegations but equally upon public recognition of the court's final determination.

My Judicial Journey

Several years ago, I became the subject of criminal proceedings in Malaysia.

Like every citizen, I placed my trust in the Malaysian judicial system and allowed the legal process to take its proper course.

Following the presentation of the prosecution's case, the courts reached their determination in accordance with Malaysian law.

The proceedings concluded with my acquittal and discharge.

The judgments delivered by the Malaysian courts represent the final and authoritative legal position regarding those proceedings.

Those judgments speak with far greater authority than any commentary, opinion or media report.

Accordingly, I have chosen to make the final judicial decisions available on this page so that readers may examine the official record for themselves.

Why This Statement Matters

In today's digital environment, information published at the beginning of legal proceedings frequently remains searchable for many years.

By contrast, the final outcome often receives significantly less visibility despite representing the only legally authoritative conclusion.

This imbalance may unintentionally create an incomplete understanding of a person's history.

For professionals, entrepreneurs, advisers and corporate leaders, reputation is built over decades yet may be questioned within moments by incomplete online information.

This page exists simply to ensure that the public record reflects not only the commencement of proceedings but also their lawful conclusion.

Commitment to Transparency

I have chosen to publish the final judicial decisions in full.

I have deliberately refrained from publishing pleadings, submissions, correspondence or selective extracts.

The judgments of the Malaysian courts are the highest and most authoritative expression of the legal outcome.

Should any reader wish to undertake further legal research, the complete judgments remain matters of public record and may be independently accessed through recognised Malaysian legal reporting services and other official legal resources.

To Professional Stakeholders

Throughout my professional career, I have remained committed to institutional governance, fiduciary responsibility, ethical leadership and long-term value creation through the Pacific Alliance Group (PAG), Pacific Alliance International Consulting (PAiC) and Zarif Menon & Associates (ZMA).

I recognise and fully support the importance of independent due diligence undertaken by governments, financial institutions, family offices, multinational corporations, regulators and professional advisers.

My only request is that such due diligence considers the complete judicial record rather than isolated historical reports that pre-date the courts' final determination.

To Those Walking A Similar Path

If you have ever faced allegations that were ultimately rejected by a court of law, I hope this page reminds you that the judicial process exists to protect justice, fairness and due process.

While public opinion may change from one day to the next, the rule of law remains constant.

The final judgment—not the first headline—should always be the measure by which an individual is remembered.

Official Judicial Chronology

This page has been created to ensure that the public record accurately reflects the final judicial determination of the proceedings referred to above. If any publisher, researcher or journalist wishes to update or contextualise historical reporting by reference to the court’s final judgment, they are welcome to cite this page together with the official judicial decision attached.
